Last week was a real whirlwind for us. We met lots of people at the Internet Discovery Day and won two awards! Then we got featured in DI Digital.

The award for "Silicon Valley Potential" was given by Silicon Vikings, a 20,000+ networkconnecting Silicon Valley and the Nordics/Baltics, and Wistrand Law Firm, one of the largest law firms in Sweden specialising in business law. We were chosen because our idea is "easy to sell to a giant, like Facebook or Google, as well as entrepreneurs at a mingle event in South of Market (SoMa) or, for that sake, over dinner with a Silicon Valley angel."

The second award was the "Almi Invest Internet Discovery Investment of the Year". Almi Invest is the venture capital subsidiary of Almi Företagspartner AB.

Through its unique platform, Neue Labs opens the way for more IoT innovations to reach the market in a fast, uncomplicated, and cost-effective way. The company unlocks revolutionary opportunities in the rapidly growing IoT market for a range of applications within B2B and B2C," says Johan Crona, Fund Manager at Almi Invest.

"We are very happy and proud of these awards. The whole Neue Labs team have put a lot of effort and love to create the best hardware, software, and last but not least, an open IoT platform. We have really believed in our ideas way before the Internet of Things exploded or even before it became an expression. This awards our belief and true conviction even more. It's also validation that what we do is very good stuff. Of course, it also gives us loads of new energy to carry on in our development,” says Fredrik

After winning our awards, Di Digital, Dagens Industri's website for tech, startups, and net culture, wrote an article about us too. During the interview, Fredrik got to answer one of the questions we often get asked: How is Automat different from other platforms, such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi?

"They are amazing platforms, but they aren't the same. Our strengths are our smallness, power efficiency, and flexibility. Arduino is more for makers and DIYers, where we should not be competing,” says Fredrik.
